Do you have a second pump? *

Opening the main pool pump is included in our opening price. There is an additional charge to open a second pump (that may be used for a spa, deck jets, slide, cleaning system, etc.).

Do you have a spillover spa? *

A spillover spa is a separate body of water that requires additional labor to properly open.

Do you have a grotto at the waterfall? *

There is no charge to open a waterfall; however, a grotto within a waterfall requires additional labor to open the jets during the opening.

Do you want opening chemicals? *

These are NOT “balancing chemicals” to balance your pool water (e.g. pH, alkalinity, hardness, etc.). Customers are responsible for testing the pool water and adding the appropriate amount and type of chemical in order to balance the water. NOTE: Our technicians can not disburse chemicals into the pool that are provided by the customer for liability reasons. Customers using their own chemicals must put them in after our technicians open the pool.

Do you need a salt cell cleaning? *

It is recommended that the salt cell be cleaned as needed. This price is ONLY valid during your pool opening. If it is done later in the season, the price is higher.

Do you need a heater cleaning? *

This service is a routine maintenance cleaning of your pool heater and is not a deep internal cleaning or repair service. It includes basic inspection and removal of debris, dirt, and surface buildup to help maintain proper airflow and operation. Recommended annually for natural gas heaters and every two (2) years for electric heat pumps. NOTE: This price is ONLY valid during your pool opening. If it is done later in the season, the price is higher.

Do you need a DE/Cartridge filter cleaning *

**THIS OPTION DOES NOT APPLY TO SAND FILTERS**
DE or Cartridge filters should be cleaned at least once mid-season and then again at closing. If you miss this cleaning in the fall, we can do it at the opening. This price is ONLY valid during your pool opening. If it is done later in the season, the price is higher. (NOTE: Do NOT answer “Yes” to this question if you have a sand filter, as they do NOT fall under this service. If you have a sand filter, we at Excel Pool Service recommend replacing your sand every five (5) to seven (7) years; however, always refer to your manufacturer’s guidelines for best results. Please call Excel Pool Service and speak with a specialist regarding a sand change or the treatment of the sand with a cleaner/degreaser, if needed.)

Does your pool have a Caretaker, Paramount, or other inground pool cleaning system? *

What type of cover do you have? *

Would you like to remove your own pool cover? *

If homeowners remove their pool’s tarp or safety cover prior to our technicians’ arrivial, they are also responsible to fold it and store it. Excel technicians do not clean or “hose off” any covers.
